Allen E. Hildebrand, 78 of Warroad, Minnesota died Thursday, August 12, 2010 in LifeCare Medical Center, Roseau, Minnesota. Allen, son of Edward and Alma (Uttecht) Hildebrand, was born May 6, 1932 on his familys farm near Kulm, North Dakota where he attended country school and grew to manhood. He farmed with his family before entering the U.S. Army. He served during the Korean War and after his honorably discharged he returned to the Fargo area where he continued to serve in the North Dakota Air National Guard. In 1959 Allen married Roberta M. Garner in Moorhead. The couple made their home in Moorhead where he worked as an over the road trucker and eventually for M&H Gas Company. Allen married Amy H. Allen on February 6, 1971. They made their home in Farmington, Minnesota for one year before moving to North St. Paul where he worked for Strong Scott Metals. In 1980 they moved to Barnesville where he worked for Dynamic Industries and in 1985 they moved to Moorhead where he worked for Palliser Furniture as well as Hector International Airport. Amy died in 2003. Allen then moved to Savage, Minnesota and was employed at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport. In 2007 he moved back to Moorhead and lived with Pam and her family until 2009 when they all moved to Warroad. Allen was living at the Warroad Senior Living Center at the time of his death. He is survived by two daughters, Pam (David) Wenzel of Warroad and Rita Schmidt of Moorhead; two sons, Jeff Allen of Minneapolis and Todd (Jodi) Hildebrand of Savage, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Dustin (Rachelle) and Hayley Wenzel, Adam and Samantha Nierby, and Noah Hildebrand. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, Duane (Carol) Hildebrand of Eugene, Oregon, Doris Ann (Eldon) Linder of Plymouth, Minnesota, Danny (Darleen) Hildebrand of Lakeville, Minnesota and Priscilla Mayer of Kingwood, Texas.
