She was the 7th child of 14 in her family. She attended school at Knox Elementary and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1966. During her high school years she worked in food service. Following high school, Susan attended Bemidji State College for a year. She then returned to Thief River Falls where she worked at Arctic Cat in the sewing department for 8 years. Some coworkers set her and her future husband up on a blind date and she later married Ronald Duane Morey on May 30, 1970. They made their home in Thief River Falls while both of them continued working for Arctic Cat. During this time, their first son Duane was born. In 1976, they moved to Stephen, MN where they owned and operated a snowmobile repair shop. Then in 1977, they lived in Fargo for over a year and during that time, Susan waitressed at Sambos Restaurant in Fargo. They then settled in a house that Ron and Susan built over several years, south of Barnesville near Lawndale, MN. For many years, Sue worked as a waitress at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Barnesville. Then in 1983 and 1985 they were blessed with two more children, Amanda and Adam. Susan took a few years off of work while Amanda and Adam were young. She then started a house cleaning service in Fargo, Moorhead, and Barnesville and has cleaned houses for many families since 1992. She also worked some in the evenings bartending at the VFW in Barnesville for a few years in the early 1990s. Susan was known as Grandma Sue, Aunt Suzie, Strangler Sue, and a few other terms of endearment to her family. She was a fanatic about a clean house. That is why she made such a great cleaning lady for many families. The families she cleaned for were important to her, and she enjoyed keeping tabs on their lives. Many people joked about her polishing the polish. She sought out a bargain for everything. One might even say that she has never paid full price for anything that she has ever bought. She would price shop her groceries in Fargo-Moorhead and know which store had a better price for any single item of the week. She also was a planner and bargain shopper when it came to her grandchildrens clothing. She kept them well stocked and fashionable with clothes from the clearance racks. Susan inherited the gift of cooking from her mother and could orchestrate a meal with everything being hot and ready at the same time. She could easily add a few more people at the last minute to a meal and still not run out of food and have leftovers to send home with people. Her sister Gaylene was her best friend and they spent countless hours together shopping and on the telephone. She is survived by her husband Ronald, Rothsay, MN; 3 children: Duane (Robyn) Morey, Barnesville, MN; Amanda (Wes) Dunham, Barnesville, MN; Adam (Shannon) Morey, Barnesville, MN; 8 grandchildren: Aaron Carlson, Quincy and Collin Morey, Hailey, Ashton, Brocke, and Colten Dunham, and Brayden Morey, 11 brothers and sisters: Muriel (Phil) Pridham, Wichita Falls, TX; John Trickle, Pelican Rapids, MN, Clyde (Pat) Trickle, Gilbert, AZ; Mary (Ronald) Broten, Douglas, WY; Gaylene (Roger) Berg, Pelican Rapids, MN, David (Shirley) Trickle, Glyndon, MN, Gloria Jeannie Simon, Thief River Falls, MN, Paul Trickle, Thief River Falls, MN, Gerald (Margie) Trickle, Moorhead, MN, Jim Trickle, Red Lake Falls, MN, Glen Trickle, Duluth, MN, sister in law Judith (Wally) Littlefield, Fargo, ND, special aunt Shirley Alby, Sioux Falls, SD, and a whole family of in laws in the Morey Family that she loved dearly.
