Eleanor K. Blilie

Eleanor K. Blilie, 94, of Spring Lake Park, MN, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on June 1, 2012, at the Camilla Rose Nursing home in Coon Rapids where she lived the last two months of her life. Eleanor was born in Charbameou, ND, on April 20, 1918, to Knut & Lillie (Ringsaker) Kristenson. Losing her parents at a very early age, Eleanor moved to Kindred, ND to live with Johnny and Minnie Swenson. Eleanor married Clarence Blilie on August 29, 1940 and to this union there were nine children. They lived and farmed in the Comstock and Barnesville area before moving to Minneapolis, MN in 1969. Clarence passed away on March 13, 1980. Raising nine children was a full time job for her. She was also blessed with 20 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. As the years went by, we were amazed at how she remembered the exact date of each and everyones birthday and how old they were too. Pretty remarkable for 94 years young! Eleanors greatest joys were listening to the MN twins, GO TWINS , tending to her flowers and before losing her eyesight, she loved to embroider, making many keepsakes for her family. Eleanors greatest love was her family which she is survived by children, Shirley Wolf, Coon Rapids, MN; Larry, Blaine, MN; RaNae Godejohn, Grafton, WI; Janice (William) Albers, Spring Lake Park, MN; Gerald, Coon Rapids, MN; Linda Albers, Lakeville, MN; Everett, Eugene, OR; 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, brother Vernon Gravning, Federal Way, WA; and a very special lady, Cindy Yattow, Coon Rapids, MN; who week after week and year after year prepared home cooked meals for her; she so appreciated it, Thank you Cindy. She is preceded in death by husband Clarence, two sons, Gary and Curtis, her parents, sons-in-law Jerome Gehrig, Harold Wolf, Dayle Godejohn, Thomas Albers, daughter-in-law, Jeannie (Saign) Blilie. Funeral Services: Will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 2:00 pm in the Comstock Lutheran Church, Comstock, Minnesota Visitation: Will be one hour prior to services in the church.
