Ingrid Lindholm, 80, of Barnesville, MN died on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 18, 2014 at St. James United Church of Christ in Barnesville, MN with Rev. Wendy Ward officiating. Burial will follow in City Cemetery, Barnesville. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM, Friday, January 17, 2014 at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Saturday. Ingrid Waltraut Meyhuber was born to Richard and Martha Meyhuber on August 17, 1933 in Prervissau in East Prussia. Martha, Ingrid, and brother Heinz came to America May 1948 through Ellis Island. She met Lloyd Lindholm at age 17 in Barnesville and they were married June of 1952. Lloyd and Ingrid farmed near Barnesville and have five children: Gail, Greg, Debra, Jim, and Brian. Her greatest joys were her marriage, her family, her friends, and her deep faith. She has been a member of St. James Church since her teen years and sang in the choir for over 64 years. She was very active in the Womens Guild, the Rugs and Quilt group, currently on the outreach committee. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and doing fancy work for the church bazaar. Ingrid worked at City Center Hardware Store for almost 20 years. She enjoyed painting and photography. She always took top honors with her pictures, photos, flowers, and needlework at the fair. They wintered in Texas for many years, where she enjoyed her long walks on the beach with Lloyd. She loved being at their lake home, entertaining family and friends. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and was very proud to be an American. She also liked playing cards with the girls and family. She had a competitive side, and liked to win at Farkle, Corn Hole, Dominos and Dice. She volunteered many hours at the Pelican Rapids Pass It On Thrift Shop. She was also known for her countless acts of kindness, caring and compassion for those she knew and for the new friends that she made everywhere she went. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lloyd, five children: Gail (Larry) Smith, Cross Lake, MN, Greg (Deb) Lindholm, Franklin, OH, Debra Mormile, Minneapolis, MN, Jim (Monica) Lindholm, Barnesville, MN, Brian (Erin) Lindholm, Champlin, MN, 17 grandchildren: Jason (Shelly) Braaten, Josh (Emily) Braaten, Cindy (Greg) Swenson, Kelly Hazelwood, Tony Smith, Tamara Jo (Kevin) Richards, Christopher Lindholm, Bethany (Devin) Bailey, Sarah (Pat) Hendrick, David (Callie) Lindholm, Jess McMillan, Garrett Mormile, Courtney Claus, Candace Claus, Colten Claus, Emily Lindholm, Eric Lindholm, 13 great grandchildren: Brandt, Ryan, Kolton, Makenzie, Joshua, Jonas, Annica, Pryce, Erica, Jenna, Gaby, Nolan and Lucy, one brother Heinz (Charlotte) Meyhuber, West Fargo, ND, and one special dog Penny. Ingrid was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Martha, and step father Emil Schneider.
