Mark A. Heidecker, 61, of Rollag, Minnesota died Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Mark Albert Heidecker was born May 30th 1950 in Moorhead, Minnesota the son of Mervin and Darlene (Thysell) Heidecker. He was raised in Hawley, Minnesota graduating from Hawley High School in 1968 and from North Dakota State University in 1972. On December 1, 1973 he was united in marriage to Sue Nord at Hawley Lutheran Church. They made their home at Rollag and were the proud parents of Rory Allison and Michael John. Mark worked for many years in the agricultural industry with the majority of his career with Steiger Tractor in Fargo and Rapat Inc. in Hawley. Mark was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was deeply involved in Rollag Lutheran Church activities and Pelican Lake was his earthly heaven. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 37 years, Sue; children, Rory (Ryan) Tangen of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and Michael (Kristen) Heidecker of Rothsay, Minnesota; grandchildren, Caleb, Sarah and Isaac Tangen and Mason Heidecker; brother, Steve (Shelda) Heidecker of Burnsville, Minnesota; sisters, Mary Carlson of San Fernando Beach, Florida and Sue (Bob) Oehrlein of Mora, Minnesota and his extended family, Cindy Haugrud, Jackie (Todd) Anderson and their children, Elizabeth and Ryan and Joey (JoDee) Haugrud and their children, Megan and Emily. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Darlene Heidecker and his second mom and dad, Margaret and Jr. Haugrud. Memorial Service: 11:00 am - Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Rollag Lutheran Church, Rollag, Minnesota Gathering of Friends: Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Church with a 7:00 pm Remembrance Service. Interment: Rollag Lutheran Cemetery, Rollag Clergy: Pastor Jim Greene Organist: Pam Ackre Honorary Pallbearers: Roger Wyland, Roger Parkhouse, Joel Haugrud, Clifford Bang, Steve Wigness, James Red Odegard, Dick Berg and Todd Anderson. The Dobmeier Funeral Home of Barnesville is assisting the family with arrangements.
