Anna Marie (Henry) Randall

Anna Marie Henry, age 88, of Hankinson, North Dakota, formerly of Barnesville, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in the company of her family on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at St. Gerard Nursing Home in Hankinson, North Dakota. Ann Marie Henry was born May 25, 1924 in what was once known as a small rail town of Black Duck, Minnesota, to Lloyd and Agnes (Soberg) Keeney. Ann was raised and graduated in Big Falls, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to George O. Henry on October 14th, 1944 after meeting him while working as a waitress at a local caf. She fell in love after he sang for his supper and they were married and enjoyed their time together for the next 41 years. They had resided for a period of time in the Northern Minnesota towns of Red Lake and Pengilly before settling on a farmstead near Downer, Minnesota. This is where Ann Maries 3 children, Linda, Shelley, and James Henry were raised. Ann Marie worked at the Mainline Potato House in Downer, MN for many years on the assembly line and driving truck. She was an active member of the Downer Presbyterian Church where she was their organist for many years. She was involved in their Ladys Aid and Circle. Ann Marie and Georges life revolved around spending time with family, friends, and their love of music. Together they were very musically inclined and enjoyed singing duets and played piano for many events and gatherings. Friends and family were an important part of Ann Maries life and she enjoyed entertaining at their home and lake cabin. Everyone was welcome. When she wasnt entertaining she was traveling to visit others. Several winters were spent in Texas and attending Air Stream Rallies. Ann Maries hobbies include reading, dancing, swimming, skiing, traveling, playing cards, singing, playing piano, and the challenge of a good horse shoe game. In 1986, her beloved husband, George, passed away. In 1989 she married Max Randall of Lidgerwood, North Dakota. In 2002 she became a resident at the St. Gerard Nursing Home in Hankinson, North Dakota, suffering from Alzheimers disease. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Charles) Siggerud, Hawley, MN; daughter Shelley (David) Janeck, Mendota Heights, MN; daughter-in-law Kara Helbling-Henry, Seattle, WA; brother, Mervin (Adelle) Keeney; Grandchildren: Paulette (Keith) Heald, Barnesville, MN; Lisa (Michael) Hustad, Barnesville; Krista (Roger) Chounard, Hawley, MN; Jay Janecky, Eagan, MN; Kelly (Kris) Staples, Cottage Grove, MN; Ryan (Tiffany Bolgrean) Siggerud, Moorhead, MN; Marietta Janecky, St. Paul, MN; Andrew (Abby) Henry, Wisconsin; Ashley Janecky, Mendota Heights, MN; Great-grandchildren: Lance (Talisha) Heald, Moorhead, Miranda and Kevin Heald, Barnesville, Nicole and Chandra Hustad, Barnesville, Austi and Dylan Chounard, Hawley, Ava, Deacon, and Leila Staples, Cottage Grove; Great-Great-grandchildren: Peyton and Paige Heald, Moorhead. She was preceded in death 3 brothers, Ivan, Virgil, and Berkly Henry; Husband, George Henry, and son, Capt. James B. Henry. Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Baker, Minnesota. Visitation: will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 at Dobmeier Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00, and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
