Robert J. Lamb, 56 of rural Rothsay, Minnesota died Wednesday in his home. Bob, son of Richard Dick and Josephine Josie (Nosal) Lamb, was born October 31, 1951 in Moorhead. He went to school and grew up in the Downer " Barnesville area, graduating from Barnesville High School in 1969. After his schooling he farmed with his dad. Bob entered the U.S. Air Force in 1971 and served as a mason. He spent most of his enlistment at the Grand Forks Air Force Base and Elmendorf Air Force Base near Anchorage Alaska. He was honorably discharged in 1975. He returned to the Barnesville area where he worked as a postal carrier at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fargo. He also worked for area farmers. He also worked for ABC Seamless Siding of Fargo. In 1986 he moved to rural Rothsay where he lived until the time of his death. Bob was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 153 of Barnesville. He loved to hunt and fish, especially with his Dad. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool and playing pinochle with his cousins and friends. He is survived by his mother, Josie Lamb of rural Barnesville; one sister, Mary (Robert) Poehls of Barnesville; two nephews, Tony Kara of London, Ohio and Tom Kara of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; two great-nieces, Keyarra and Mallory Kara. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Bob is preceded in death by his father, Dick and his grandparents, Dave and Flora Lamb and Joe and Mary Nosal. Bob will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Mass: Tuesday at 11:00 in the Assumption Catholic Church, Barnesville. Visitation: Monday from 4:00 " 8:00 with a prayer service at 7:00 in Dobmeier Funeral Home, Barnesville and two hours before Mass on Tuesday, at the church. Interment: will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
