Russell Lund

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial Service: Saturday, June 11, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at North Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. Russell Theodore Lund was born December 25, 1922, in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, to Robert and Thilda (Holt) Lund. In April 1986, Russell was united in marriage to Bernice Miller at North Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Pelican Rapids until her death in January 1997. Russell farmed his entire life on the family homestead in Barnesville. He also hauled cattle to market. Russell enjoyed fishing and was a life-time member of North Immanuel Lutheran Church. For the past few years he has resided at the Good Samaritan Society in Barnesville, Minnesota. Russell Lund, age 88, a resident of Barnesville, Minnesota, died on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Society in Barnesville. Russell is survived by his sister, Ruby DeFore, Stillwater, Minnesota; several nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice; parents, Thilda and Robert; stepfather, Olaf Lund; brother, Herbert; sisters, Hazel Lund and Jeanette Stende. Memorials preferred to North Immanuel Lutheran Church. Blessed be the memory of Russell Lund.
