Margaret Braton

Margaret Braton, 90, died Sunday at the Pelican Valley Health Center, Pelican Rapids, MN. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, August 1, 2014 at Cormorant Lutheran Church, 14314 County Highway 4, Lake Park, MN with Rev. Gary Van Hunnik officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Ida Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville, MN. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Friday. Margaret was born on April 14, 1924 to Adolph and Minnie (Hall) Paulson at their farm in Cormorant Township. She graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1942. She was united in marriage to Sammy Braton on July 14, 1944. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, DeLoris "Sammy" Braton, daughter Connie (Kenneth) Meek of North Branch, MN, two sons: Daniel of Pelican Rapids, Steven (Cynthia) of Arvada, Colorado, six grandchildren: Mia Parke, Amanda Braton, Krista Braton, Lisa Braton, Andrew (Aunna) Braton, Jessica (David) Wan and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters: Florence Hanson, Marie Nessa, Ruth Doherty, Irene Lambert, Betty Tollerud, Doris Godwin, and two brothers: Melvin and Donald Paulson.
