Melanie Fleming

Melanie Anne Fleming, 52, died on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at her family lake cabin on Pelican Lake under the care of hospice of the Red River Valley. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at City Cemetery in Barnesville, MN with Pastor Chris Leach officiating. Melanie Anne Fleming was born on December 26, 1962, daughter of Larry and Sandra (Solum) Fleming in Minneapolis, MN. She was a graduate of Santa Clara University in California and a fellow at Dartmouth College in the mathematics department. For the last five years, she has been cared for by her mother in Washington. Melanie had a love of cooking and music. She was a serious reader with a tremendous library. Melanie is survived by mother Sandra Fleming, of Issaquah, WA, two brothers: Martin Fleming of Manson, WA, Matthew (Stephanie) Fleming, Sammamish, WA, five nieces and nephews, and step mother Diane Fleming of Wenatche, WA and aunts and cousins.
