Eunice Alexander, 98, of Barnesville, MN, formerly of Wahpeton, ND and Rothsay, MN died on Wednesday October, 14, 2015 at Golden Manor Assisted Living Home in Barnesville, MN. Mass of Christian Burial was 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Assumption Catholic Church with Father Gary LaMoine presiding. Burial followed at 1:45 PM Saturday in Calvary Cemetery, Wahpeton, ND. Visitation was for one hour prior to Mass on Saturday at the church. Eunice Hanson was born on August 17, 1917 to Wilfred and Thora (Sogn) Hanson in Rothsay, MN. She grew to womanhood in Rothsay where she attended school. She was married to Francis Fink in 1941. They made their home in Wahpeton, ND for many years. To this union two children were born, Francis John Fink, Jr. and Sonja. During these years, she was an avid bowler and active in the American Legion Auxiliary. Throughout her lifetime, Eunice was a diehard Minnesota Twins fan who wouldn't miss listening to a game. She married Lester Alexander on February 14, 1978 and they made their home in Wahpeton and then moved to Rothsay where they lived for many years. Lester died in 1997. She moved to Barnesville in the early 2000's. For the last few years, Eunice has lived at Golden Manor Assisted Living. She is survived by one daughter Sonja (Gary) DeVine, Dent, MN; 6 grandchildren: Rhonda (Steve) Huot, East Grand Forks, MN, Nadine Fink, Callaway, MN, Mitchell Fink, Perry (Dana) DeVine, Rapid City, SD, Brent DeVine, Fargo, ND and Curt DeVine, Fargo, ND; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester; her parents; son Francis Fink Jr.; grandson Francis Fink III; her siblings: Lloyd Hanson, Alvin Hanson, Ernest Hanson, Gladys Prieb, Winifred French, Phyllis Furst and Violet Rossiter.
