Keith Allen Raknerud

Keith Raknerud, 48, died on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.   Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Hope Lutheran Brethren Church, Barnesville with Pastor Kevin Skaret officiating.   Visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM.   Keith Allen Raknerud was born on May 1, 1967 to Eldon Hartvig and Marge JoAnn (Aos) Raknerud in Moorhead, MN. He grew up in rural Barnesville attending school and graduating in 1985. He then attended Moorhead State University and then went west to Lutheran Bible Institute in Seattle. He moved back to Fargo-Moorhead area and taught elementary age children at the YMCA. For the last 16 years, Keith used his compassion and love working at the Community Living Services.   Keith had a strong faith and trusted in the Lord. He loved his family and had a special relationship with his nieces and nephews. Keith was eclectic and loved collecting strange art. He had a special second family of co-workers and clients from CLS. He enjoyed taking pictures and developing the film himself. He has had a lifetime of health issues and faced them straight on. He was the recipient of two kidneys, the first from his brother Darrel and the second from a friend Dave Johnson. With much frustration, he loved the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.     He is survived by his parents Eldon and Marge Raknerud, Barnesville, MN; 3 brothers: Doug (Rose) Raknerud, Barnesville; Darrel (Debbie) Raknerud; Rochester, MN, Gary (Jen) Raknerud, Northwood, ND; nieces and nephews: Natalie, Nicole, Luke, Lauren (Brian) Parrett, Brian, Zach, Carter and Danny; two aunts: Muriel (Lin) Jacobson, and Patty Swenson. He is also survived by many special friends and coworkers.       He was preceded in death grandparents: Tony & Clara Aos and Melvin & Ella Raknerud; niece Emily Raknerud, and Uncle Vern Swenson.
