Brian Stangeland

Brian Stangeland, 61, of West Fargo, North Dakota, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017.   A private family service will be held.    Brian Kent Stangeland was born on May 4, 1955 to Arlen and Virginia (Trowbridge) Stangeland in Fargo, ND.  He grew up in rural Barnesville and attended Barnesville High School where he was active in sports and music.  He graduated from high school in 1973.  He then graduated from Moorhead State University.    During his lifetime, he worked in Washington DC and then returned to the area and worked at Diamond Construction Company.  He was an avid card player, especially pinochle.  He also was a good golfer.  He was a diehard Minnesota Vikings fan.    Brian is survived by his mother, Virginia; his siblings; David of Amarillo, TX; Beth (Darrel Randklev) of Grand Forks, ND; Jean of Pelican Rapids, MN; Todd (Erica) of Otsego, MN; Jeff of Barnesville, MN; and Stuart (Pam) of Springfield, MO.; several nieces and nephews.       He was preceded in death by his father, Arlen and his grandparents.
