Lyle Scheffler

Lyle Scheffler, 59, of Elbow Lake, MN formerly of Barnesville, MN died on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Prairie Ridge Hospital in Elbow Lake, MN.  Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, August 4, 2017 at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville, MN.  Lyle Kent Scheffler was born on August 31, 1957 to Clarence and Arlene (Flaten) Scheffler in Moorhead, MN.  He grew up and began school in Barnesville.  He attended school in Barnesville.    Lyle had special needs and was a very happy person.  He enjoyed fishing.  He was happy working at the DAC in Elbow Lake.  Lyle also enjoyed watching baseball and listening to music.  Lyle received great joy participating in the Special Olympics.   Since 2002, Lyle has lived at the REM group home in Elbow Lake, MN.  Lyle is survived by his mother Arlene Scheffler, Moorhead, MN; three siblings:  Pam Skogen, Vicki (Paul) Johnson, and Joel (Kathy) Scheffler all of Barnesville; seven nieces and nephews: Jeremy (Tara) Skogen, Ronald Scheffler, Brian (Danielle) Scheffler, Brandy Bartle, Jeana Scheffler, Paul (Elizabeth) Johnson Jr, Dustin (Kellie) Johnson, and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Scheffler; two brothers: Bruce and Doug Scheffler, and brother-in-law Bruce Skogen.  Lyle's Memorial Folder
