Barbara Ann Wagner

Barbara Wagner, age 61, died on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at ValleyCare and Rehab, succumbing to cancer.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville with Father Todd Arends presiding. Burial will follow in City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Friday at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville and will continue for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Barbara Ann Wagner was born on October 16, 1959 to Loren and Rosella (Gehrig) Wagner in Moorhead, MN. Shew grew up on the family farm near Downer, MN and attended school in Barnesville, graduating in 1979. Following high school, Barb went to Fergus Falls Community College for nurses training. Following that she worked at the Barnesville Nursing Home. Barbara had a care givers heart, and she lived and helped care for many elderly people in their homes working for the Christensen Family, Halverson Family, the Schultz Family, the McDunn Family and their great Aunt Emma Aldrich. She also worked at the Barnesville Motel. She worked many potato harvests for the Halverson Farms.

Barb had the gift to crochet and knit and has turned 100's of miles of yarn into beautiful afghans and blankets. She sold many of these afghans and gave lovingly to others. She also liked to play games and cards. Barb liked to bake breads and cakes.

Barbara is survived by three siblings: Larry Wagner and Arnie Wagner of Barnesville, and June (Cliff) Palmer of Hawley; a niece and three nephews: Christiane, Nickolas, Paul and Edwin Palmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Rosella; sister Marianne Wagner, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
