Bonnie Jean Norman

March 14, 1944 — August 11, 2018

Bonnie Jean Bontjes was born in March 14, 1944 to George and Elaine (Ernst) Bontjes on the farm near Baker, MN.  For the first six years of her life, she grew up in the country and attended country school for one year.  She and her family moved to Barnesville, MN and she continued her schooling, graduating from Barnesville High School in 1962.  Bonnie then went on to attend Joseph’s Beauty School in Fargo.  Following her education, as a young woman she ventured to Minneapolis, MN where she worked as a ward clerk in Fairview Hospital.  She then moved to Colorado in the late 1960’s and continued her work in a Colorado hospital.  From 1970 until 1985, she worked for Max Factor Cosmetics as a sales representative in their military division. Bonnie met and later married Terry Norman on September 1, 1973 in Rapid City, SD.  From 1973-1976, they made their home in Colorado Springs, CO before moving to the Monument Colorado area where they lived until 2001  In 2001, Bonnie and Terry moved to Buchanan Dam, TX and have continued to live there until the time of her death.  Bonnie loved to travel with her husband Terry.  They enjoyed cruising the oceans, and RVing across the country.  For many summers, they have spent time in Barnesville with family, classmates, and friends.  Bonnie enjoyed those times with her nieces and nephews.  She is a member of Genesis Lutheran Church in Buchanan Dam, TX.  Bonnie is survived by her husband Terry, step son Trent Norman, Amarillo, TX, two grandchildren: Mitchell and Taylor Norman, siblings: Phyllis Mulari, Barnesville, MN, Lloyd (Jean) Bontjes, Bellefontaine, OH, Bette (Ron) Haug, Barnesville, MN, Donald (Tereasa) Bontjes, Spicer, MN, Daniel (Shelley) Bontjes, Barnesville, MN, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Wayne Mulari.  Bonnie's Memorial Folder
