DeLon Grunewald

DeLon Dale Grunewald was born on August 12, 1971 to Dale Arvid and Yvonne Gayle (Rolin) Grunewald in Fargo, ND. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Barnesville. He attended school in Barnesville, graduating in 1990.

He and his life partner Delwin Pullen have lived in Fargo, Dickinson, ND, Minot, ND, and for the past 20 years in rural Glyndon, MN. He worked in several places including Mid States Distributing Company. He had a love for cars and tools and fixing things and cooking. The Ford LTD was DeLon's favorite vehicle. He owned over 15 of them throughout the years. His dogs Raven, Lucy, and Roxie and Trevor the Cat meant a lot to DeLon. He enjoyed being an uncle and hanging with his nieces and nephews. He was often the instigator of tricks, but always was a people pleaser and he wanted everyone to be happy. Christmas was his favorite time of the year and he loved to decorate for the season.

DeLon is survived by his life partner Delwin Pullen, mother Yvonne Miller, Rothsay, MN, siblings: Michelle (William) Chewning, Underwood, MN, Brett Grunewald, West Fargo, ND, Chad (Kelly) Grunewald, West Fargo, ND, Dustin Grunewald, Rothsay, MN, Philip (Emily) Grunewald, Barnesville, MN, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

DeLon was preceded in death by his father Dale Grunewald, brother Brandon Grunewald, and his grandparents.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville, MN. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial of his cremains will be in the North Friborg Cemetery, rural Rothsay, MN.
