Duane "Toad" Lass

Duane “Toad” Lass, 84, died on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Essentia Hospital, Fargo, ND.      Duane Myron Lass was born on June 26, 1933 to William and Wilhelmenia (Loebrick) Lass in Elmwood Township, rural Sabin, MN.  Toad attended country school, and served in the US Army.  He married Ione Swenson on April 26, 1957 in Barnesville.  He farmed near Barnesville for many years.    Toad is survived by his wife Ione, four children:  David, Kursten, Jayson, and Lanessa, 13 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren, and three sisters.    He was preceded in death by an infant son, and an infant great granddaughter.
