Jim (Jimmy) Lee passed away peacefully after a courageous one-year battle with cancer with his wife by his side at their home in Lake Park, Minnesota, on March 25, 2023, at the age of 82.
Jim was born in McGregor, Minnesota on April 29, 1940, and lived an adventurous full life. Through the years Jim loved the outdoors: deer hunting with his brother-in-law Bob, fishing, working, farming, owning/operating Jim’s Bulk & Mobil Station in Roseau, logging, snowmobiling, riding his Harley, and the challenge of fixing anything and everything. He especially loved his time with family, traveling with family/friends, and being a “snowbird” for many of his later years.
He leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Pam, Lake Park, MN; Son Michael, Roseau, MN and grandchildren: Preston, Devin, Meagan and Ashlyn. Son Jerry (Julia), Roseau, MN and grandchildren: Oliver and Madison; Step-son Lars (Sarah) Odegaard , Audubon, MN and grandchildren: Dennis, Anna (his little redhead), Natalie, and David Lee (namesake); and Sister Melody Beattie of Malibu, California.
Per Jim’s request, there will be no funeral service. There will be a private family memorial at a later date.
He will be deeply missed by his family and loved ones, and will always hold a special place in our hearts with the memories made. May God bless the memory of Jim Lee.
