Judy Ann Rehder

Judy Rehder, 78, of Sabin, MN, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Beehive Homes in Moorhead, MN. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, known for her deep integrity, generosity, and infectious laughter. A funeral to honor Judy's life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Barnesville, MN with Rev. Greg DeMuth presiding. Public visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Judy Ann Lemke was born on January 11, 1947, to Harold and Elsie Lemke in Fargo, ND. Judy grew up on her father’s farm outside of Baker, Minnesota, where she developed a love for nature and a nurturing spirit. She attended a one-room schoolhouse in Baker, MN, before moving on to graduate from Barnesville High School in 1964. Following high school, Judy pursued her passion for beauty by attending Josef's School for Hair in Fergus Falls, MN. She began her career at Mr. Ted's Salon in St. Paul, MN, and then had her own in-home beauty shop. She then shifted gears, using her other talents in various roles. Judy served as the restaurant and bar manager at the Oxbow Country Club, then became secretary of the Comstock Farmers’ Oil Company and finally in partnership of Curtis J Oil Company. In each of these roles she made many cherished memories. 

It was within the walls of Barnesville High School that Judy met her husband-to-be, and love evolved between the high school sweethearts. On September 10, 1966, Judy married her soulmate, Curt Rehder. He was the love of her life, she was his everything, and together they raised two daughters and built a life filled with love and laughter. Judy was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where she contributed to her church and community by sharing her time and talents. Judy's unwavering love, steadfast support, and radiant spirit will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Judy is survived by her wholly devoted husband, Curtis, Dilworth, MN; her daughters: Carmen (Jack), Spokane, WA, and Kristen (Benjamin), Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Gage (Ashley), Sabin, MN, Sebastian, Fargo, ND, Fred, Fargo, ND, Annamarie, Fargo, ND, Jason, Spokane, WA, and Chloe, Spokane, WA;  and her siblings: Roger (Loretta) St. Cloud, MN, Kenneth (Fay), Barnesville, MN, Penny (Dennis), Fargo, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Elsie. 

Memorials received will be gifted in Judy’s memory, reflecting her spirit of generosity and community service. Donations will go to City Cemetery in Barnesville, MN, Trinity Lutheran Cemetery near Sabin, MN, and Hemness Cemetery, near Hickson, ND, as well as Beehive Homes in Moorhead where Judy received loving and compassionate care during her final days.
