It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kevin Klevberg, aged 45, on April 10, 2026, at Essentia Hospital, Fargo, ND. In honor of Kevin's life, family and friends will gather to celebrate his spirit and share their memories. A visitation and prayer service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Dobmeier Funeral Home, Barnesville, MN. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm and the prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm led by Pastor Chris Mathiason.
Kevin was born on November 26, 1980, to Rodney & Chris in Northwood, ND. He was a cherished son, devoted father, and loyal friend. Kevin attended school in Northwood, where he loved playing football for the Trojans. He graduated with the Class of 1999. He went on to attend Minnesota State Community & Technical College in Moorhead, MN, receiving his Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. He graduated with honors and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In 2014 he began working for the United States Postal Service in Rothsay, MN. Later he would transfer to the Barnesville office, and it was there that he met Jamie; first as a co-worker, then a friend, and eventually their friendship grew into love.
Kevin was known for his infectious spirit and boundless love for life. He had a passionate affinity for cooking, often delighting his family, especially Jamie, with delicious meals that brought everyone together. A true ‘big softie’ at heart, Kevin was never shy about sharing his warmth through hugs and laughter. His love for animals, music, and heartfelt conversations created a welcoming atmosphere for all who knew him.
A devoted father, Kevin dedicated his time to coaching his boys in football, imparting not just skills but also valuable life lessons. He was a passionate advocate for kindness and understanding, striving to make the world a better place for his children. Kevin, with his emotional depth and staunch beliefs, was always open to discussions about spirituality, providing comfort and insights to those seeking answers.
As Jamie’s best friend, Kevin shared a bond that was both joyful and inspiring, filled with dreams of future vacations and shared adventures. His love for music, dancing, and attending concerts was infectious, and his humor brought light to every gathering. A talented car detailer, he took pride in caring for those things that mattered to him, just as he cared for the people in his life. Kevin’s legacy will live on through his children: Tayten, Carter, Kurbee, and Kennah, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness and compassion. He was truly one of the kindest souls, always putting others first and making those around him feel valued and cherished.
Kevin is survived by his fiancé Jamie Raatz, his children: Tayten, Carter, Kurbee, and Kennah; his mother Chris Berge; and brother Scott Klevberg. He was preceded in death by his father Rodney Klevberg;
In this time of mourning, let us remember Kevin for the joy he brought into our lives and the love he shared unabashedly. His laughter and kindness will forever echo in our hearts.
