Lucy Mosca, 92, of Barnesville, MN, died on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville with Father Todd Arends presiding. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Barnesville. All state mandates will be followed and the funeral will be viewable live streamed or recorded on the funeral home website.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.

Due to COVID-19 limitations and restrictions Lucy's service will be livestream and recorded for those who aren't present. To watch the livestream go to the bottom of this page and it will begin at 11 AM, otherwise, if you wish to watch it later it will become available after 2 PM in the recorded format also on the bottom of this page. Please feel free to sign the online guestbook so the family knows you were able to join them for her service.

While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to accommodate gatherings while abiding to a 50% capacity at the facility. The use of face masks by attendees is required at indoor events, and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep your families safe. Lucy Mary Nosal was born on December 1, 1928, to Joseph M. and Mary (Setlak) Nosal on the family farm west of Barnesville, MN. She was the 4th child of 10 children. Lucy grew up on the farm attending country school through 4th grade. She then attended Assumption Catholic School through 8th grade and continued her education at Barnesville High School to her junior year. As a young woman, Lucy worked on potato farms, picking and cutting up potatoes. Everyone pitched in working as a family. Lucy saved money to buy a 1938 Chevrolet for her family. Lucy married Lee Randkev on June 5, 1951, in the Assumption Catholic Church, Barnesville, making their home in Barnesville as well. Their son Terry was born in 1953. Terry was killed in 1979. Lucy worked for Dr. Simison from 1968 - 1991. She also was employed at American Linen for 6 years as a presser. Her husband Lee died in 1992. She married Richard Mosca at Assumption Catholic Church on August 24, 1996. They made their home in Barnesville. Richard died in 2016.

Lucy was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She was past president of the Auxiliary three times.

Lucy is survived by her grandchildren: Brandon (Amber) Randklev of Faribault, MN and Carissa (Andy) Harvego of Farmington, MN; great grandchildren: Courtney, Sadie, Elle, Hannah, Jersy, Cherish, Harmony, and Caleb; great-great granddaughter: Paislee; daughter-in-law Sandy (Randklev) Holland; stepchildren: Wendy Mosca-Shinn, Rick (Wendie) Mosca, Gloria Bolen, and Andy Mosca; many step grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; sisters: Josie Lamb of Barnesville, MN, Mary Mathison, of Moorhead, MN, and Tina (Loren) Garrison of Moorhead, MN, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents Joseph and Mary Nosal; her son Terry; husbands Lee Randklev and Richard Mosca; siblings: Annie Lammers, Michael "Sonny", Amelia 11 months old, Leona, Cecelia Holland, and Tootsie Holland.
