Phyllis M. Peppel

Phyllis Peppel, 71, died on Friday, March 30, 2018 in Barnesville with her family by her side.       A Celebration of Life will be Monday, April 2, 2018 at 6:30 PM, at St. James United Church of Christ, Barnesville, MN with Rev. Frank Picard officiating.    Visitation will be one hour prior to the Celebration on Monday.    Phyllis Margaret Anderson was born on December 25, 1946 to John and Myrtice (Cooley) Anderson in Minneapolis, MN.  She started out her younger years in Monticello on a farm, before moving to Barnesville.  She attended school and graduated from Barnesville High School in 1964.  She attended school in Minneapolis to become a lab technician.  She married Richard Peppel on October 9, 1965.  To this union six children were born.    During her lifetime Phyllis worked at different places including Max’s Ag Service and Country Classic Cabinets.  She was the true farmwife who helped with the chores, harvest, providing huge meals for the family and hired help.  She made the best pie ever.  She was an active member of St. James in various boards and committees.  She was also active in the Jaycee’s.  She enjoyed being a member of the bag ladies.  Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening, reading, and spend time with the family at the lake and the farm.     Phyllis is survived by her husband Richard, children:  Max (Terry Sillerud) Peppel, Sandra (Muffy Cherok) Peppel, Ruth (Ray) Bernier, Amy (Richard) Reep, Steven (Jenny) Peppel, Molly (Darcy) Byrne, 10 grandchildren: Jacob, Chloe, Jack, Max, Andrea, Briggs, Evan, Dax, Bruz, Gertzie, a sister Janis (Earl Thomas) Anderson, and her brothers John and Richard Anderson,  and many nieces and nephews.      She was preceded in death by her parents.      In lieu of flowers memorial are suggested to a charity of your choice.  Online condolences and memories may be shared Phyllis 's Memorial Folder
