Ronald Skunberg

Ronald Skunberg, 67, of Barnesville died at ValleyCare and Rehab in Barnesville, on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

Ronald Steven Skunberg was born on October 18, 1953, to Russell and Florence (Ishaug) Skunberg in Pelican Rapids, MN. Ronald grew up on the family farm in Norwegian Grove Township. He attended school in Pelican Rapids.  Due to his father’s early death, Ron (at the age of 15), helped his mom manage the farm, milking cows and tending to the crops.  After graduating high school in 1971, he continued a lifetime of working on the farm.  In 1984, he and his mom sold off the cows, but continued to grain farm for many more years.  Ron was a good hearted, kind, and a hardworking man.  Ronald enjoyed restoring old tractors.

Ronald is survived by his friends and neighbors. 

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Russell in 1968, and Florence in 2013. Ronald’s wishes were to be cremated and his ashes spread on their farm.
