Terrance “Terry” Lee Gehrig, 78, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville, MN, with Father Todd Arends presiding. Terrance Lee Gehrig was born on May 15, 1947, to Donald and Lorraine (Thomson) Gehrig at St. Ansgar Hospital in Moorhead, MN. He attended Assumption Catholic School in Barnesville and graduated from Barnesville High School with the Class of 1968. As a young boy, Terry was known for his strong work ethic, taking on many odd jobs around the Barnesville community. He worked for numerous area farmers, Christiansen Potato, and even helped set up and tear down carnival rides when the Clay County Fair came to town.

Terry found his true calling in the construction industry, where he eventually became his own boss, operating Terry Gehrig Construction. Although he spent much of his adult life living in Moorhead, MN, Barnesville always held a special place in his heart and remained the town he considered home.

In his free time, Terry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and dancing. He especially loved time spent at area lakes, renting cabins at Dunvilla, Strom’s Resort, and Detroit Lakes, where friends and family were always welcome to stop by and share in the fun.

Throughout his life, Terry was married three times and was blessed with three children. He is survived by his children: Jason (Leah), Tekethya (John), and Terrana; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers Tom (Kathy) and Tim; and sisters Cheryl, Denise (Tom), and Michele.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; his parents, Donald and Lorraine; his brother-in-law, Rick; and one infant granddaughter.

Terry will be remembered for his hardworking nature, generous spirit, and love of bringing people together. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
